Whenever I feel like I need a new clothing piece or shoe, I tend to craft a new design from within my existing wardrobe. Using these Converse x NBHD shoes as a base, I attached grommets, scrap lace, chains, and safety pins to create a punk aesthetic. 
    I hammered the grommets into the outer side of my left shoe, then I wove white thread through the grommets into a pentagram pattern. On the outer side of my right shoe, I sewed a scrap piece of floral lace flush to the shoe. Next I sewed the ends of a couple of chains to the shoe and pinned them more securely with safety pins. These shoes represent to me a balance of my punk and feminine aesthetics.
