Corrected Vision

icon

As a project in college, my directive was to create an icon to represent “corrected vision.” I started with sketches and drawings to get the form of the glasses. Then, I conducted a draw-it survey to better understand how people visualize a pair of glasses. The survey showcases how people tend to visualize a pair of glasses. This data suggests how my digital sketches should look to reach my largest possible audience.
I changed the angle of the glasses to front view perspective in order to convey the action within my message deliverable, corrected vision. “Corrected vision” suggests that an action had already taken place. In order to portray this, my design includes a before-and-after visual representation.
