We/Me [We Over Me]

publication

We/Me [“We Over Me”] is a fictional human rights activist publication that discusses controversial talking points concerning human lives and rights. It brings multiple perspectives into account while taking a humanitarian approach in the conscious delivery of its contents. The title is meant to represent that we the people should come together instead of putting ourselves or biases before other people.
As it was a college project, my deliverables included creating a title and layout samples for this fictional publication. I created  typesetting rules for the layouts to the publication to create a sense of cohesion between the theoretical sections within this publication. This publication uses text facing both right-side-up and upside down to provide two sides of a story topic, emblematic of how each story has more than one perspective. The wordmark works in this same way that either way it is turned, the reader can recognize and read the title the same way, despite it being upside down or right-side-up.
