Away With Words
boardgame

Away With Words is an a(n optional) drinking boardgame concept where the players learn about regional United States dialects and phrases while traveling across the country map. Players can collect tokens and take penalties from challenge cards. The game is to be played with at least two people. To further engage players, questions must be read aloud to hear the corny, possibly inebriation-inducing penalties.
Away With Words was created by Cindy Ha, Leah Dupré and me. The pandemic of 2020 was a time in which we were longing for reconnection and socialization. We were inspired to create something that brings people together despite the distance between us. Playing to drink or not, it will at minimum bring people togther, entertain and teach about the differences United States citizens share.
